The next interview was an interview between a certified massage based in Asheville, North Carolina and Mary Davis of the Body Work Therapist (LMBT). Her 10 year practice is in Elk Mountain, North Asheville, specializing in deep organization massage work. Davis offers a variety of massage oils, lotions and creams for a variety of customers, different types of massage, deep-tissue techniques.
Why do massage therapists use massage cream or lotion instead of using massage oil?
The first problem of choice is client preference. Some people like lotion actually because it does not make your body feel greasy. I tend to pick oil more often. When I want to do a profound job, oil works well for me. I use less oil as I can massage deeper tissues, because I can use more grip and drop to the defective layer of the tissue.
How do you decide how much massage oil to use?
Massage oil, lotion, or cream is fine. The amount of substance used affects. When doing a Swedish style massage rather than a deep tissue tissue massage, I use massage oil well. I am generous to that. Many massage oils help long and smooth strokes.
How about a massage cream? When should I use them?
I often use massage cream for clients who have injuries or muscle cramps. The cream contains ingredients that stimulate the healing area, in particular. There is a wonderful massage cream.
What special massage cream will promote relief of muscle pain and cramps?
Banner therapy has therapeutic herbal muscle calam cream which is part of organic skin care products. This is a muscle mending lotion using essential oil and chili. This is a component that generates heat. Therapy herbal muscle cream is pretty strong in the sense that it drops to really deep muscles and stimulates healing.
Can massage therapy use other types of cream?
I am using several new creams. They have different textures and I can see that they work well. Several massage therapy creams are designed to be commonly used in massage and provide a comfortable experience for our customers. One major problem of massage cream is that one skin may react quite differently with another person's skin. I am careful to choose a cream when I know it works for specific individuals and their skin type.
Another cream I like is a versatile cream that is used in various massages. In paradise free, simple general massage (as opposed to the main deep organization), this cream should go a little deeper. It is slippery so that I will not be stuck. It allows gliding that gives more fluidity. When I want it, I can make it deeper with a massage cream of Soothing Touch.
What type of massage technique was improved using massage lotion?
Massage lotion is the best tool to use for deep tissue massage. Interestingly, some lotions are superior to creams. They tend to be more easily absorbed and are less slippery than creams. Once the lotion is absorbed, I grab a little more for a deeper massage. So, many massage therapists will choose a lotion better than a cream for deep organizational work, unless using oil.
Is there any other type of massage oil, lotion, or cream that you incorporate into your treatment, sports, or relaxation massage?
I prefer to use special skin care products only for feet when working with client's feet. Natural and organic skin care products are usually made to work well on the body, but special creams are needed to work well on the feet. I tend to choose foot cream with the smell of peppermint or tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is suitable for fungi. In addition to massaging your feet, I will soften your feet and look for products that will make you feel exciting and refreshing.
When considering which massage oil, lotion, or cream is best, what is the best approach for massage therapists?
I will try new things for you and let's see what is the best for you and your clients. Massage oils, lotions, creams etc, to use in various places of the body and various massage techniques, it is very good that there is some diversity.
