Wisconsin's music scene 1968-1975 From My Eyes

- 22.19

I taught about my music scene from Wisconsin from my eyes. It was an exciting time. It is difficult to know where to start from. Since the Beatles entered number 64, I saw the door of 67, Cream, Hendrix, Allman Brothers playing the scenes that Benadetta Balistrieri operated in the late 60 's. The Midwest rock festival was coming to the state park at 69 with blind faces, Joe Cocker and Grease Band, Jesslotle, my favorite local group soup and Ox. This was the era of excellent music that feeds the young soul ...!

There was a CYO dancer who had a chance to play with the strobe and other clubs in the band. Messenger, Destination, Corporate, Baroque, Sidewalk Skipper Band, Skunk, Tony's Tiger, Robbs, I had 1,200 people without forgetting the friendly goods building in N. 92 nd We always satisfied it It was. There were other wonderful bands to arrive at the schedule soon. The first Summerfest that I can remember was on the hill, the stage at the bottom of the art center in Lake Dr, New Colony Six, and many classic rock groups. This was the scene where I led to 69. It was the best day of my life (the song's name?)! Music up to & 69 was incredible. You had Bird's Tambourine Man, Eight Mile High, Temptations, Jefferson Airplane, Paul Libya, Raiders of Kick and Good Sing, Young Rascals. They have a lot of hits, Wilson Pickett, Smokey, Supremes. Music of the time was the most important thing in our life and I could listen pop, hard rock, R & B, soul, blues, jazz and country. We can hear all of it, it's cool ...! It is necessary to actually return the music, but I will not process this garbage. Returning to the real thing ... I can not list lots of wonderful songs, but I'll cover a couple of them. Lovin Spoonful, Yardbirds - Shapes of Things WOW, Donovan, Stones, Kinks - If you come to the next line, you really got me. Follower of fashion, classic, Animals - Don 'Take me to Ricin Sang' s house, British invasion in general. Do they understand that they removed the American blues record from the ship, twisted it back and returned it to us? How long have you known? Music feeds the soul ... Anyway it will come! These were all my influences, along with Maddy Waters, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Junior Wells, Howlin Wolf and Sony Boy Williamson.

I have been playing drums for 6 years now, and I was heavily practicing. I participated in the first group "The Epilogue" with Dale Peterson from Chessman, and I rehearsed several blocks away from me. They were wonderful, we played rock, blues, pop (British invasion pop). I began learning how to play my music. In addition to just playing, I was fascinated. I continued to play and continued practicing. I was excited because I was working with a group called "prism". Since we had a girl, we played a wide range of materials from Jefferson Airplane to Billy Holiday, Jim Applebee and guitar. In the second half of that year, one of Rick Cier's most famous keyboard players joined us. Sometimes things collapse, as happens with rock bands, drugs, alcohol, and just a personality. I met a guitarist who started the band "Comus" band Jeff Dagenhardt. He played with all the blues greats Samurai, Midi, everyone, I was honored. It wore for a year, I was a group called "shorts" and was offered a guitar in a group they were the best blues band in town and I was 16 years old. Junior, keyboard player dropped me in high school,. My family was very supportive, as long as I got my grades. They held it on my head, No Grades-No Music ...! I learned very much from Junior and Kenny Bardard. Jimmy Ribin did a show only when I was in the group and moved to Nashville. Jimmy is a wonderful talent. I hear that Junior is impersonating Little Richard in Vegas. He looks like him. Junior · Love · Y · Bad. Jimmy and Kenny same as you! I was more into Zeppelin and heavy blues. A band called "Tongue" was looking for a drummer. They played a heavy blues. I was the 54th drummer they auditioned. I had a gig.

"Tongue" was the place I wanted to do. They already had great accomplishments. We played a wonderful show. We appeared in Eagle River Wisconsin, the stage and 3000 people were waiting for us. We had Bunny, Roubaix and finally Woody's Road Crew. What we had to do was to have 2 cups of beer and play. They set up the equipment and, once done, stop the equipment to the next town. We traveled by limousine. Life was awesome! This lasted four years. Colorado, California, Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, we played most of the time. We stayed at Tropicana for the first time in Hollywood. I forgot the restaurant name of the alphant which I do not remember, it was the best hamburger. We were recording at Hollywood Central Studio, but I ate at Wilcox's south town in soul food. Back in the studio I owned a studio and I was with John Leeds who was producing us. I saw this beautiful black woman. I'm 17 years old now. I saw her and John was looking at her feet. ...? Looking at her feet, they were so big that they were hanging on top of the shoes. John told Teddy, it is not a woman, it is not a woman, I say that I first saw her feet, I say referring to a woman No waste, whiskey and I I could not believe the people who were there and that late night I ran with Denny's Keith Moon and Sunset. For an exciting child 17. Because your young athlete has a lawyer on your side, our album never had legal problems.

The place where I played Denver on the way was the place where we met Bobby Barth later we started "AX". He was such a great songwriter, I loved his material. Return to Milwaukee. The fun places were Stone Tudd, Teddy, Electric Ballroom, Saloon, Alternative Facility on the Lakeside and Other Places in Milwaukee. There was a wonderful music scene in Wisconsin. "Tongue" was a wonderful blues guitarist in the same place as Styx, Reo Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, Clicker, and Luther Allison W / My Buddy Jimmy Solberg. Wisconsin's music was smokin. Madison's Nitty Grity, Oshkosh and Eau Claire's Bar, London Inn, Jeffreys Pub Eau Claire, Eagle River's Modern Bar, Fondi's Las Keller, and all the festivals. I never forget that we came to Tennessee and bought half of the fireworks. At night we awoke to load the train and hid it until dusk. We said to Hop who was the owner, checking this, we let the boat aim at it. It's blue like Mount St. Helens. The fireworks were flying everywhere, I can not believe that a blue man still did not come ...? Then Menomonie had Pine Point. We had all kinds of playground. Music again helped the soul ...! Many groups went to the big shop where soup Doug Yankus was not thrown away (what is talent), cows John Paris wants to go with Johnny Winter and many others. If you go to NYC to see John on Monday night at BB King's of Times Square, he will host the evening. Do not forget Bull Ring and Sweetbottom, Daryl joined Genesis. My tongue broke and I moved to LA (see LA & # 39; 75 ~ # 76) Here was amazing music, but it's 80 & its seatbelt next time. Let's restore music .... Let's meet right away.
