An agent is a relationship existing between a principal and an agent. In the case of real estate, a real estate agency in Jamaica has a function to create a contractual relationship between a principal and a third party.

1. Express Authority
Explicit authority to act on behalf of a principal (also called an agency) as an agent in the place of an agent can be done in writing. 4. Agency of Needs
