INTOLERANCE
"Can you become a judge of wicked thinking, not partial to yourself?"
Jas. 2: 4
In the early stages of his Masonic career, Freemason taught about the exercise of brotherly love and said that all human species should be considered a family. The family includes high and low, rich and poor, rich and poor, to help each other, support and protect each other, as made by omnipotent parents and resident of the same planet. Through reminding his Masonic career, Mason will receive countless additional instructions on the concept of tolerance, especially brotherhood love for the concept of religious tolerance.
Most people, including most Freemasons, generally think of themselves as tolerant of the religious beliefs of other people. If asked at a meeting in the town or in other public places, without the reason for avoiding becoming friends or neighbors, many people can hesitate to hand out to prove the generous nature Sexuality is not acceptable socially. Indeed contrary to falsifying the truth, most people seem to actually believe that they should be told that they are tolerant, especially if they are citizens of the United States.
Constitutional protection of the religious freedom of our nation is taught to children in American schools early on. Like synagogues and mosques, the churches of several different denominations draw landscapes. Our society can hope that such basic beliefs on the concept of religious tolerance accurately represent how we act as citizens, but the truth is that religion It depends on how to define general tolerance.
Wikipedia (Internet dictionary) shows that the word of tolerance is a recent political term contrasting with the word discrimination. A similar source of information follows to describe tolerance as the word most people avoid usage. It is clearly universally disliked words. Because it challenges intensely to understand that it is nothing more than simply accepting different opinions.
As an example of that disgust, recently, a person with a good reputation for a good person who discovered the joy of a particular religion answered "no" when asked whether a new religion bought an unfair sense It was. "To be truly tolerant as you understand the meaning of that word, to accept other religious views, I will demand that my religion and my beliefs are true "Said.
Here we are about another definition of tolerance. The definition of tolerance is sadly widely accepted in the world. To be religious tolerance is a clear definition that it does not have a firm belief about moral and God's problems. The basic misunderstanding behind that definition is based on the misunderstanding that it abandons something other than ego and self-esteem when other simple religious beliefs are tolerated. At least not from the perspective of Freemasonry.
When you accept other religious beliefs, you do not need to adopt those beliefs as your own. We are not asked to find specific truths among those other beliefs. If you do not, you may notice that it is a very narrow person who is not welcomed, but you do not want to discover the enormous value in diversity. Even if you do not wholly or partially agree with the teachings of other religions you only need to allow religious freedom to spread to all religious traditions.
Rituals Freemasonry has chosen to convey wise and serious truths do not have a single source of information. Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Hindus. But it finds each source of each religion as well as each religion. In addition, its beauty has been enriched rich by schools of wonderful philosophies of the past. Ancient Egypt contributed to the symbolism from the east to the west, the divinity of the temple, immortality and resurrection of mankind. Our Hebrew brothers added a symbolicism of God later reinforced by Muhammad and other Islamic writers. The Hindus adopted the symbol of the beauty of the world around us and satisfied richly and thoroughly enough to describe the return visit after death in the way of reincarnation of the soul. Pythagoras and Plato submitted to Craft the concept of unification of the human god and nature. In many valuable spiritual contributions, Christians should educate members about their inner souls, human mind, freedom to choose good and evil in good faith, freedom to choose light instead of darkness I taught. As a result, the Freemason ritual is the result of the synthesis of different beliefs and different perspectives. It is not surprising therefore that brothers and sisters will promote religious tolerance and literally breathe into their fellow's heart and soul.
In the fellowship degree, I teach the value of seriously seeking knowledge from various liberal arts science such as literature, rhetoric, logic, arithmetic, geometry, music, astronomy etc. The teachings have an indication that when the things that were not previously known hit the new light on the problem, we should avoid changing the fulfillment of doctrine. The unchanged doctrine has no room for new light, so doctrine tyrant casts an ominous shadow in religious tolerance.
A High Commissioner recently replied "No" when a new archaeological discovery asks whether changes in existing doctrines of the church will occur. It is not difficult to understand the reasons for that answer. Changes in basic facts inherent in doctrine may threaten the confidence of the Church. Correspondingly, the best defense against such changes continues to be generous. The result of this attitude was most graphically depicted in its historical period, which was simply called "hearing". This is when the heretics walked around the civilized world to be burned and tortured. A massacre of Jews, gypsies, and perhaps witches was held at the hearing. Also, some people were deemed not actually stabbing a specific doctrine.
Sadly, events like hearings are penetrating the history of man. In Rome, people sticking to the doctrine of emerging Christianity are now hunted, tortured and killed by people called "infidels". After that, the emperor Konstantin pouring Christianity as an approved national religion, the table turned. Pagans were hunted by Christians, and the duration of torture and death remained. Catholics and Protestants continue to kill each other in certain parts of the world, even though they claim that each religion is centered on Christ. Certain Muslim sects hate each other and send condolences to eliminate 'enemies'.
Freemasonry teaches that the doctrine of each religion contains truth and error and will do so forever unless the doctrine changes. Therefore, Freemasonry has close affinity with Hermetic philosophy, its origin is attributed to Hermes Trimegistus. That philosophy is of an esoteric nature that contradicts the mystery expressed by the sign. The specific disciples drawn from that philosophy tried to become a complete doctrine. Cabala, astrology, alchemy are only a few. When such an intellectualization of Hermetic philosophy tries to establish a unique concept, it does the abuse adopted by the philosophy itself and Freemason.
There is no theory in Freemasonry. There is only experience including the experience of interpreting symbols. The mysterious experience is the root. The experience of acquiring knowledge can be regarded as sap. I am practicing lessons learned from the interpretation of timber which is a constituent element of the symbol. An important lesson on this point may be derived from the rich symbolism known as the Apocalypse (Revelation of St. John).
The key to understanding the Apocalypse is to practice by using it as a series of spiritual exercises that awaken the deeper level consciousness. Seven letters to the church, seven envelopes of the sealed book, seven trumpets, seven vials show the path of spiritual research. To understand these studies, we need to put ourselves in focus, internal silence, the state of consciousness linking consciousness and subconsciousness, and the state of consciousness summarizing what was learned. Synthetic efforts, as established in the interpretation of the Masonic symbols, are incompatible with intolerance. Rather, it is emphasized by the sense of change. Recognition that one philosophy, or one religion does not symbolize the truth. Even if there is such thing, there is never known by that substance even though it was before.
For Freemasonry around the world, the development of a generous conscious state is important for promoting brotherhood love. If you dislike religious doctrine of his brother, you can not love his brothers. We can not help and support our brothers if we reach the conclusion that the miserable condition of his brothers can be visited by those who committed a false religious doctrine of God. And when he is arrogantly believing that he is walking in the truth while his brothers are walking the path of darkness, they can not rejoice in the welfare and success of their brothers.
Tolerance is not just taking the religious beliefs of someone else. We need to accept and love the difference.
