More than 80,000 people are in federal prison each year and are waiting for further trials and transmissions. Do you doubt that there are many first criminals who are worried and doubtful?
They may wonder:
• How will the Federal Prison be?
• Will I be safe?
• What should I do to prepare?
I have been in Federal prison for over 5 years and I would like to teach you the actions to help transition from the outside world to life before going to prison based on my experience.
1) Power of attorney
The first thing you want to do is to choose someone, usually a family member or close friend, and give a lawyer on your behalf. While you are in prison, this person can make a decision for you.
Call a creditor, treat a bank account for you and sell goods / property with your name. This is really important and very simple. You fill in a simple form and take your chosen person to the notary and you sign both.
2) Create a Will
The second thing you have to do is to create a simple will, if not done yet, and notarize it again. I do not suggest that you can not escape from prison, but it is very important to prepare for cases where something happens in prison. The place to find necessary documents cheaply is the legal document of the United States. Find them at http://www.uslegalforms.com.
3) Stockpile cash
Another important measure to take is to stock up cash that can be used to purchase some of the necessary items such as food, clothing, stamps, emails, calls, etc during the prison hours.
Keep in mind that you want about $ 1,000 - $ 2,000 of spending money every year you spend in jail. Please use this as your guide.
4) Please tell your employer
Wherever you are, it is important to return you when you talk to your employer. There is nothing better than getting out of prison when you know that work is waiting for you.
5) Prepare for mental
Another suggestion I have for you is to mentally prepare for your transition from freedom to prison. Even if you take it out of the library, there is a wonderful book to read. It was called: We are a guide to get All Doing Time: Bo Lozoff free. Another meaning is "people search": Victor Frankel
Both of these books will give some insight on how to manage mentally, physically, and emotionally while being imprisoned.
Conclusion
The key to survival and prosperity in prison is actively acting. Please work now so that your time is painless and as smooth as possible. By taking these five steps, you set yourself for a smooth transition, so you do not have to worry.
