Burns is handling the edge of your romantic thriller with "Purple knot". Reyna Cruz who is receiving current inspiration is a private detective who departed Seattle and built a life in California. When her childhood friend, Summer Evans, died injured in an assault, Reina involved himself in lawsuits, but solving it deprives all wisdom and faithfulness to God.

Reina works when she receives a phone call from her former fiancé, summer twin brother Jim McCaffe Bow. Jimmy is crazy. Summer is asserted, she is 8 months pregnant. Reina is in a hurry from San Francisco to Seattle. When she arrived at the hospital, she discovered that summer left her medical attorney's rights. When making the best judgment with doctor's advice and evaluation, Reina decided to save the baby and the death of the summer.

Despite the pain of loss of summer, Reyna reconnects with Jimmy who is as enthusiastic as finding Summer's killer. But Jimmy does not need to qualify from Reyna's method, but he can not deny his mind. He loves Reina, and he will be willing to give their love again.

When Reyna is attacked in her office and her house crashes, the affair gets hot. Danger does not limit her. When the angle of the drug is introduced as a motive, Reina shudds. I have not taken medicine in the summer.

Reyna calls her all the favor to get an answer, but will the answer be to destroy the re-perceived love she found in Jimmy?

Byrnes injects a story with just a good combination of suspense and romance. The first person speaks stories from Reyna's point of view, and Reyna raises a unique and distinctive voice. The explanation is balanced and there is nuance, never prolongs, but draws a clear picture of the setting.

I felt that Burns treats the emotional message of the story like an organic element of nature, not due to religious overtones.

Reyna and Jimmy are compiling characters. Both must overcome the pain of loss, but each will do it in their own way. Reyna can grow as a truly a scene where she prays in Jimmy 's hands. It is a very dark, but intense moment and defines it as a couple.

The story is sweet for Romance readers who Reina and Jimmy share a kiss or two. "Purple knot" draws readers comfortably and does not go until the last page.
