"Magic of Conflict: Switching the Lifetime of Work into a Work of Art" Thomas C. Crum's work is a bit different from the book I conflict a lot. It was written in the late 80's, the preface and the pictures are in the second half of John Denver. First, in dealing with today's conflict, people of different age do not lower the value of this book. That's different because Crum's conflict happened in the years when he studied Aikido's martial arts. His approach to the eye is not only to deal with external conflicts but also to be used by individuals to overcome the fight to live a more harmonious life in the home and workplace.
As a martial artist, broker, lawyer dealing much with conflict resolution, this book called me. Not only enjoying books but also as martial artists, I agree with my customs as a mediator
Introduction and brief introduction, Part 1: Challenges are focused on unusual nations, the nature of conflict, conflict and competition. Part 2, in the Aiki approach, Crum has a choice of choosing to center it, accepting your connections, discovering power, trying to understand, wanting to change, choosing coexistence I discuss the concept. The next two chapters, Part 3: Battle, escape, or flow does not sweep small objects, there is no boundary. This book, Part 4: Ends with the chapters to take to the street and the Masters of Aikido.
This book contains quotations and examples of Fisher and Uri, like books on many conflicts, but Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido with completely different martial arts and conflict vision, is also out. Personally, in my background, I liked how Crum blended the concept of text. Things that are in the traditional "lawyers" type of dispute resolution may sometimes feel "gee". I have some of the same roots in Hapkido, including a little Aikido, studying various martial arts, for my years, I think it helped me, probably I I enjoyed more books.
Near the end, when Crum talks about the master of Aiki, he is talking about kids, and I had to believe that this is my favorite chapter, I agree with him. I agree that if you only pay attention to the lessons, you can learn a lot from the children.
The concept of this book has the power to resolve conflicts and improve the quality of life of people. Techniques include meditation, breathing exercises, openness. Some may resist these concepts, but for those who learn from Crum and accept his teachings, this book is very valuable. I plan to incorporate some of his ideas as mediators and not only when teaching dispute settlement but also in daily transactions with problems and conflicts when they arise.
